What is phase-smashing?

Phase-smashing is an audio irregularity that smears the phase information of a sound across a specific frequency, creating otherworldly enhancements to transients without adding extra gain—preserving both the original quality and headroom.

Simply put, CODA® rotates the phase of a signal at the selected frequency. The "amount" control determines how many times the signal is rotated. When the signal is rotated enough times, it starts to produce an audio artifact that changes the character of the transients in the sound. This artifact is the effect we designed CODA® to highlight.

Your mix will stand out.

Use CODA® as the glue between your kick, bass, or 808 relationship, an enhancement for guitar tracks, or apply it to your drum bus, adding an unmistakable snap & body to your mix.

CODA® will make any kick or 808 knock, without destroying the quality of your original audio.

Easy to use, beginner friendly.

CODA® can help you achieve professional-level drum clarity, even if you have no prior mixing experience. This is because it doesn't alter the dynamics of the original audio source. Traditional tools like compressors, limiters, or saturators squash the dynamics, which makes it easy to overdo and lose the natural feel of the sound.
